Leadership

Tyler is a 25-year veteran of early-stage software companies. Most recently, he co-founded and led Fusebill, a subscription billing platform through several rounds of venture funding and its acquisition in 2021.
At Fusebill, he saw firsthand how customers' code actually behaves when it calls an API, integrations that called far more than anyone planned for and engineering time spent building controls to keep that usage in check.
Ordainer brings those lessons to a new kind of API traffic: integrations and AI agents. Tyler is based in Ottawa, Canada and is passionate about golf, fitness and his family.
About us
Your success comes first.
We help companies that sell APIs and AI tools stay in control of how integrations and AI agents use them, so usage stays fair and matches what each customer signed up for. Everything we decide, from the API shape to how we answer a deny, starts with one question: what does our customer need to succeed?
What we do
A check before the tools you choose to wrap.
Before your handler does any work, it asks us one question: may this caller make this call? We check its agent key against the plan you gave it and answer allow or deny. The count moves in the same step, and every answer is written to an audit log you can export.
You set the plans and caps in our console. Your customers' integrations and agents get agent keys we issue. There's no billing platform to adopt and no gateway in front of your API.
Why
Scripts and agents don't read pricing pages.
A person sees "100 calls a month" and stops. A script or agent keeps calling. If your API sells plans, those limits only mean something if they're enforced at the moment of the call.
We think every API and MCP vendor should be able to say no to an over-limit integration or agent, clearly and fairly, without building metering from scratch. That's the job we do for you.
How we work
How we build it.
Customer-first isn't a slogan for us. These are the rules our product is built to follow.
A deny is an answer, not an error
Allow and deny both come back as a normal answer with a reason. Your code reads the decision; nothing crashes and nothing guesses.
Shadow mode before enforce
New plans you create start in shadow mode: we log what would have been denied and block nothing. You switch to enforce when the numbers look right, with no deploy unless your code pins the mode.
An append-only audit log
Every decision writes one row with its request ID to an audit log that's append-only, with deletions logged. Export it as CSV or JSON.
A free sandbox
Ordainer is free during the beta: sign up for test keys with 1,000 decisions a month, no credit card needed.
Support
Real answers from our team.
When something goes wrong, every answer and every audit row carries a request ID. Send it to us and our team starts from the exact decision, not from a guess.
Email support@ordainer.ai and our team will reply.
